Congrats to Robbie Harms at Charles T. Koontz Intermediate, our M.B. Haynes Teacher of the Month!

The Morning Mix with Melanie & Crystal teamed up with Chris Pennington from M.B. Haynes to surprise Robbie in his classroom. As our newest Teacher of the Month, he was presented with prizes from our generous prize sponsors: MB Haynes and Massage Envy!

Mr. Harms was nominated by Sara Perez, whose daughter is in his class. Here’s what she shared when asked why this teacher deserved some special recognition:

Mr. Harms is one of the friendliest teachers I’ve had the pleasure of working with as a parent. He makes the entire classroom experience a different one for all the kids in his class. I think if we had more teachers like him, we would see an amazing change in our community. We’ve had a particularly difficult year and he’s made it as stress free as possible from a parent’s perspective. From a child’s perspective he’s their advocate and they are not afraid to tell him anything. He’s more like a friend than a teacher. He’s someone that you know you can trust with your children. It’s so much easier for a mother, when you know your children are in good hands. I know my daughter will never have a bad day in his class. I pray next year my middle daughter will be in his home room.
