Congrats to Amber Iker at Charles T. Koontz Intermediate School in Asheville, our M.B. Haynes Teacher of the Month!

The Morning Mix with Melanie teamed up with Chris Pennington from M.B. Haynes to surprise Ms. Iker with the news at SoCon Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament this weekend.

As our newest Teacher of the Month, she was presented with prizes from our generous prize sponsors: MB Haynes and Asheville Deal!

Ms. Iker was nominated by Jocelyn Mance, who shared this when she nominated her to become Teacher of the Month:

She is the best teacher because she gives us prizes and helps me understand ELA and she is super kind, respectful respects our boundaries funny and helps all of her student learn in fun ways
