The Melanie Show “Join the Show” Contest Rules

Starting 1/12/2025 and running through 12/31/2026, listen to the The Melanie Show from 3-7pm Monday through Friday, excluding any holidays and based on prize availability, for the chance to win a prize in a daily “Join the Show to Win” contest.

During designated weekday afternoons, Melanie will invite listeners to interact with the show by commenting on a specific subject of the day. Listeners can join in the show via the following methods of participation which will be disclosed by Melanie. The methods of participation will vary to be eligible to win the contest of the day and include:

  • by calling or texting the Mix 96.5 studio line at 828-240-9650
  • by emailing a recorded audio message to the Mix 96.5 Studio via the Open Mic feature in the Mix 96.5 free Mobile App
  • by commenting on a Mix 96.5 Asheville Facebook Post of the Day

New prizes will be announced. At the end of the show, Melanie will conduct a random drawing of all the contestants who have interacted with the show in an eligible method of participation. Winner will be notified of win by Melanie via email.

Prizes will vary based on availability and will be between $20 and $499 in retail value.

We will make reasonable efforts to award Prizes within 30 days after winning.

In the event the prize is tickets to an event or concert, winners will need to follow all COVID guidelines and protocols put in place by the concert and/or venue organizer. We are not responsible for any event cancellations or rescheduling.

All Mix 96.5 contests are open to all eligible residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified) living within 75 miles of station transmitter(s). Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to Mix 96.5 that winner may be asked to present to Mix 96.5 to accept the prize is awarded. Employees of Mix 96.5, it’s advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Mix 96.5 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

All decisions of WOXL-FM are final and shall be binding in all respects. Entry into this contest constitutes permission to use the name or likeness of each prize winner for advertising, trade, and publicity purposes without prior approval and without additional compensation.

Winners will be informed of how to claim prize at the time of their win and will receive an automated email from MIX@your-favorite-station.com with prize details and information on how the prize is claimed. If the winner’s prize is to be claimed at Mix 96.5 studios, the winner will be instructed to claim their prize at 1190 Patton Avenue, Asheville, North Carolina 28806, between Noon – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) within 30 days of being notified that they are winners, unless there is an expiration date on prize, which will be specifically stated.

If the winners prize is claimed via electronic transfer, winner will receive an email with an electronic winner release form that they must sign before tickets can be transferred. Once release is signed and the concert venue/promoter releases tickets for transfer, winners tickets will be electronically transferred to the email account the winner submitted for their prize win. This electronic ticket transfer will happen no later than 48 hours before the date of the concert. Ticket Transfer will be ordered via TicketMaster and Ticketmaster will email winner a notification that they have a digital ticket transfer waiting for acceptance. Winner must create a Ticketmaster account or log in to existing account associated with the email they submitted at time of win to accept ticket transfer and access tickets.

No purchase necessary. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Winners will be responsible for all applicable state and federal taxes. WOXL-FM’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WOXL-FM will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prize.
