Teacher of the Month: January 2025

Congrats to Leigh Salley at William Estes Elementary School, our M.B. Haynes Teacher of the Month!

The Morning Mix with Melanie & Crystal teamed up with Chris Pennington from M.B. Haynes to surprise Leigh in her classroom. As our newest Teacher of the Month, she was presented with prizes from our generous prize sponsors: MB Haynes and Caroline Albea Orthodontics!

Carrie was nominated by Sarah Sher of Asheville who shared this when asked why this teacher deserved some special recognition:

Leigh has a love for teaching and constantly challenges her students and former students to improve. She helps coach Girls on the Run and will attend her students’ extracurricular events to show her support. She is a shining star to the children and families who know her!
