Congrats to Ellen Lafferty, 5th grade teacher at IC Imagine Public Charter School-Asheville, our M.B. Haynes Teacher of the Month!

The Morning Mix with Melanie & Crystal teamed up with Chris Pennington from M.B. Haynes to surprise Ellen in her classroom. As our newest Teacher of the Month, she was presented with prizes from our generous prize sponsors: MB Haynes and Caroline Albea Orthodontics!

Ellen was nominated one of her students, with the help of their mom. The student shared this when asked why this teacher deserved some special recognition:

…”Because she is not strict and lets us learn about really cool she lets us eat in class and make slide shows about cool stuff.”
