Congrats to Marilyn Whitcher, our Mix 96.5 M.B. Haynes March Teacher of the Month! Ms. Whitcher is a 5th grade teacher at North Windy Ridge Intermediate.

The Morning Mix with Melanie & Crystal teamed up with Chris Pennington from M.B. Haynes to surprise Ms. Whitcher with the news during Education Day at SoCon Basketball Tournament.

As our newest Teacher of the Month, she was presented with prizes from our generous prize sponsors: MB Haynes and Caroline Albea Orthodontics!

Ms. Whitcher was nominated by someone who wanted to remain anonymous. Here’s what they shared when asked why Ms. Whitcher should be honored:

Marilyn Whitcher is an exceptionally gifted teacher who brings out the very best in her students. She gives 110% to her students and her co-workers. She is an inspiration and treats everyone with kindness and respect. Marilyn Whitcher is a role model who makes learning fun in interesting ways. Every student who has been lucky enough to be in her classroom is all the better for it!

Marilyn Whitcher learned she was selected as Mix 96.5’s M.B. Haynes Teacher of the Month during Education Day at SoCon Basketball Tournament at Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville.
