Another idea … keep a few bags in your car … you can use a plastic grocery bag, even. Just fill it with ready to eat foods – like beanie weenies, peanut butter, crackers, soups … make sure you include plastic utensils. Warm socks, hats and gloves are welcome, too. The next time you see a homeless vet, hand it to that person with a word of thanks.
