Asheville’s Cat Hero

Retired Air Force Colonel Spence Cocanour has a very special set of skills. After all, he was with Special Forces and as such he was trained to climb high in the tree tops. Precisely where little kitties like to go when frightened.

Spence is a hero to so many in Asheville not only for his service to our country but his service to Asheville in particular. Spence is the one that over 100 Asheville residents have called for help in getting their precious fur baby safely down from the treetops. You can read more about his amazing contributions to our cat world HERE, and listen to him describe how many calls he may get in one day.

Spence’s fee? Zero dollars. Yup. Even more of a hero.
