Hurricane Michael: Ways You Can Help

You can help victims of Hurricane Michael by getting involved in a number of different ways!

  • Click here to connect with Hearts With Hands

Hearts with Hands will be sending their big rigs to the hardest hit locations along the Gulf Coast . These 18-wheelers are loaded with water, meal boxes, and other supplies that’ll be handed out in conjunction with the National Guard and emergency officials in the affected areas. Your financial support helps to buy fuel for those big rigs as well as those much needed supplies.

If you’d like to buy supplies and drop them off at the warehouse, that would be amazing. If you’d rather make an online donation, know that Hearts with Hands has negotiated with suppliers to get the best prices, so your $1 has 5 times the buying power when the non-profit makes the purchases. Either way, your support is needed and appreciated.

Don’t have the finances but want to lend a hand? Your help is needed to pack supply boxes, like hygiene kits and those meal boxes that contain enough items to feed a person for a day. No need to call ahead to help out. Just head to the warehouse in the industrial park at 850 Warren Wilson Road in Swannanoa anytime between 9 am and 5 pm.
