“Shorts of Shame” World Premiere

Melanie’s middle school aged daughter started the school year off with a bang! On the second day of school she got a dress code violation for her shorts being too short. When Melanie went to pick her up from school she noticed her daughter was wearing a different outfit than the one she was dropped off in earlier that morning. She was wearing huge men’s gym shorts. When asked why the wardrobe change, she explained she had been hit with a dress code violation and had to wear those shorts ALL day! To lighten the mood Melanie called them the “Shorts of Shame” and they laughed about how embarrassing it was.

Later, Michael from The Morning Mix on 96.5 commissioned Melanie’s musician husband Greg to write a song about the whole experience. Boy did they deliver! Take a listen to the song exclusively released on The Morning Show with Melanie & Michael on MIX 96.5.
