Here’s Lori’s Story- What do you think?
At the beginning of this school year, I created several fake social media profiles and then friended my teenage daughter. By November, we had become good online friends. I made sure to keep some distance so she would never ask for my phone number. She revealed things to my persona that she never revealed to me. I recently let my secret slip while talking to my mother-in-law. She was outraged and said I should be ashamed of myself for tricking my daughter and lying to her. I told her what I did was good parenting and a way to keep an eye on her. She disagreed and thinks it’s terrible what I have done. What do you think? Good or bad parenting? Do I owe my daughter an apology and the truth? -Lori
