Bomb threat under investigation at Resort Drive in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville police are investigating a bomb threat at 1 Resort Drive after a note was found Wednesday, according to APD.

Certain areas are being evacuated as a precaution while authorities conduct a search, Asheville Police Department spokesperson Rick Rice said.

No roads are affected, but police are asking drivers in the area to slow down and use caution because of a large emergency personnel presence.

APD has not provided additional details about the contents of the note or whether any suspicious device has been found.
