Dance, music, theatre and more: Wortham Center announces 2025-26 lineup

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, a premiere Asheville venue for all manner of performances, has announced their upcoming slate of dancers, musicians and storytellers taking the stage for their 2025–26 season.

The Wortham Center season will extend from the end of September until early May 2026. Performers range from Grammy, Tony and Emmy award winners to circus acrobats.

Advance ticketing for Wortham Center shows is now open for Friends of Wortham members, while the public ticket sale begins Thursday, Aug. 21.

According to a Wortham Center press release, the schedule of 2025-26 performances includes highlights like Soweto Gospel Choir, a Emmy and Grammy-winning group who will perform an array of classic spirituals, Jane Lynch and Kate Flannery of “Glee” and “The Office” fame, respectively, bringing a stand-up and cabaret combo to the Diana Wortham Theatre, and BODYTRAFFIC, a blend of ballet, hip-hop, Afro-Cuban and modern dance styles.
