Flood Gallery accepting work from up to 25 local artists for new exhibit

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Flood Gallery Fine Art Center is accepting submissions for “The Power of Voice,” a group art exhibit featuring the work of 25 local artists. The show is open to many types, styles and mediums of artwork, so long as they are inspired by the exhibit theme.

Art in the show may fall under ceramics, collage, digital media, drawing, enamel, fiber arts, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking and stained glass.

Other submission guidelines include:

  • No more than two works per artist may be submitted
  • Label each piece with name, title, medium, price and an artist bio and statement
  • Artwork must be framed and ready for display
  • Artwork should be listed for sale. The Flood Gallery retains 35% of profits
  • Submit labeled artwork via hand delivery to the Flood Gallery between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., Dec. 6-7

“The Power of Voice” will open to the public with a reception from 3-7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Flood Gallery, 802 Fairview Road. Light refreshments will be available.
