ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Eastbound traffic on Smokey Park Highway in Candler was heavily congested Tuesday morning, according to drivenc.gov and the Waze traffic app. Another section near Sand Hill School Road was also backed up.

Both traffic services showed the areas marked in red, indicating delays and stop-and-go traffic.

There were no reports of a reason for the slowdowns.
