ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Flour, the popular breakfast spot located inside of The S&W Market, has announced that it will be moving to its own brick-and-mortar location later this year.

The new Flour will open in early March at 40 Wall St. just a few blocks from The S&W in downtown Asheville. The restaurant’s new location was previously occupied by vegetarian restaurant Laughing Seed Café.

Flour will take over the Wall Street spot formerly occupied by Laughing Seed Café.

While Flour is beloved for its biscuits, the new building will allow the business to significantly expand its menu.

“With significantly more square footage, we will be able to serve more guests and expand our menu offerings to a FULL breakfast and brunch menu (don’t worry – the biscuits aren’t going anywhere ;),” the restaurant wrote in an Instagram post.

The S&W has nothing but well wishes for its tenant as Flour prepares for its big move.

“From the very beginning, Flour Cafe has been exactly what we hope for in a vendor at The S&W. They are thoughtful, hardworking, community-minded and deeply connected to Asheville. Watching them grow from their early days with us into a business ready for its own brick-and-mortar location has been incredibly rewarding,” said Ryan Israel, owner and operator of The S&W, in a statement.

“We’re proud that The S&W could serve as a launchpad for Flour and grateful for the energy, joy and daily rhythm they brought to the building. Their biscuits, coffee and hospitality helped shape the experience here and became a real part of our downtown community.

While we’ll miss seeing them at The S&W, we’re excited to cheer them on as they take this next step on Wall Street. We wish the Flour team nothing but continued success and look forward to welcoming what’s next for their former space as we thoughtfully plan our next chapter.”

Flour is currently open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday to Monday, inside of The S&W, 56 Patton Ave.
