Rocky Horror round-up: Where to see the show this October

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Did someone do the Time Warp again? October has nearly arrived, and with it, a new lineup of “Rocky Horror” performances, just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the cult classic.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” shadow cast screenings

The Rocky Horror Picture Show @ The Mule – 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, The Mule at Devil’s Foot Beverage

Local Asheville shadow cast Unexpected Pleasures will perform their first “Rocky Horror” show of the season at The Mule. Costumes and call-outs are encouraged and $5 prop bags will be available.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show by Alpha Psi Omega – 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, Boone, N.C.

The Appalachian State University theatre honors society Alpha Psi Omega will present three shadow cast performances of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country in the heart of Boone, N.C.

The second and third shows will be held at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

An Evening With The Rocky Horror Picture Show – 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, Asheville Yards

Tickets are $10 for a screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at downtown outdoor venue Asheville Yards. The film will be accompanied by the Unexpected Pleasures shadow cast. Find tickets here.

“The Rocky Horror Show” productions

The Rocky Horror Show at ACT – 7:30 p.m., Oct. 24-Nov. 2, Asheville Community Theatre

Before it was a movie, it was a musical. Asheville Community Theatre will perform “The Rocky Horror Show” in 9 performances across two weekends.

The show will run at 7:30 p.m., Friday-Sunday, Oct. 24-26, with an additional 10:30 p.m. performance on Oct. 25. For its second weekend, the show will run at 7:30 p.m., Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 30-Nov. 2, with an additional 10:30 p.m. performance on Halloween.
