ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Phoenix Asheville, a wellness-focused retreat center, celebrated its reopening Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The event marked the facility’s return after severe flooding caused by Tropical Storm Helene forced its closure.

The Phoenix is known for hosting retreats centered on personal renewal, connection and growth. During the ceremony, officials acknowledged the community’s resilience following the storm, which displaced families and disrupted daily life across the region.

Amy Jackson, a representative of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, and Marsha Ralls, founder and CEO of The Phoenix Asheville, were among the speakers.

With its 2025-26 season now underway, the center announced that a portion of proceeds from each retreat will be donated to local recovery and rebuilding efforts.
