Jodi Ford – Marketing and Development Director, NC Certified Peer Support Specialist

Sunrise Community for Recovery and Wellness is a non-profit staffed entirely by Certified Peer Support Specialists. Our team utilizes their lived experience to provide authentic peer support, resource navigation, harm reduction, education, and a pathway to becoming a certified peer support specialist to individuals struggling with trauma that often leads to houselessness, substance use, mental health issues, and/or justice involvement.

Not only does Sunrise offer direct services, but we also serve as a valuable source of education for our community. We facilitate multiple trainings including Peer Support Certification, CCAR Recovery Coach Academy, WRAP (Wellness Action Recovery Plan), Problem Gambling 101, Harm Reduction and Overdose Prevention, and more.
