THERAPY THURSDAY MESSAGE:
Dear Melanie & Crystal,
I haven’t talked to my son in 5 years. He’s now 31. I was a single Mom, and we were very close. UNTIL my son met this girl, everything changed. One day, I went to work and came home, he wasn’t there. He later came to the house while we were at work and got all his belongings. I’m so mentally confused about what happened? Did I do something? Every holiday I keep waiting to see if he will show up, he doesn’t. My daughter got married and I make a plea on Facebook for him to contact his sister, she wanted him to walk her down the isle, nothing. I personally wrote his girlfriend and begged her to please have my son make contact. He hasn’t. We love and missed him. As a mother I’m hurting, I just want to see my son, at this point I don’t even care why he left I just want to talk to him. Any advice would be appreciated… What should I do next? Anonymous.
